Rebel Wilson, de ‘A Escolha Perfeita’, revela ter sido assediada por ator

Motivada pelas recentes denúncias de abuso sexual em “Hollywood”, a atriz Rebel Wilson, famosa por estrelar a franquia “A Escolha Perfeita”, resolveu se abrir sobre um assédio sofrido por ela. Através de sua conta no Twitter, Rebel relembrou que uma vez, um ator famoso e poderoso a pediu para entrar numa sala com ele e foi aí que a perseguição aconteceu. “Ele me pediu por várias vezes para que eu enfiasse o dedo em seu ânus. Tudo enquanto seus amigos tentavam filmar o incidente com os celulares e riam. Eu disse repetidamente que não faria aquilo e saí da sala“, declarou.

De acordo com o relato de Wilson, assim que ocorreu o episódio, ela ligou para seu empresário e para seu advogado. “Ele fez uma queixa no estúdio – basicamente para proteger-me de que, se algo semelhante ocorresse de novo eu poderia sair do trabalho e não ser obrigada a retornar“. A talentosa atriz disse que dias depois chegou a ser coagida por um dos representantes da tal estrela. “Ele me ameaçou, dizendo para que eu fosse gentil e apoiasse o ator. Eu recusei. A coisa toda foi bem nojenta. Eu contei pra centenas de pessoas da indústria a história com detalhes para alertá-los sobre esse indivíduo”.

Por fim, Rebel ainda lembrou de outro caso que viveu ainda no início da carreira. “Eu tive um encontro de “quarto de hotel” com um diretor bem famoso. Pensei que estivéssemos lá para conversar sobre comédia. Nada físico aconteceu porque a esposa do cara ligou e começou a reclamar dele por telefone por dormir com atrizes e, felizmente, ela estava gritando tão alto que eu podia ouvi-la e então afastei-me imediatamente. Eu era tão ingênua que o pensamento de que algo além da “conversa de trabalho” poderia acontecer ali nem sequer passava pela minha mente”.

A comediante ressaltou ter tido sorte nas duas situações para que pudesse sair ilesa, o que não acontece com boa parte das mulheres e ainda deixou um aviso. “O que eu sei é que se eu presenciar esse tipo de comportamento novamente, se isso acontecer comigo ou com alguém que conheço, não serei mais EDUCADA. Interpretem isso como quiser”.

A male star, in a position of power asked me to go into a room with him and then asked me repeatedly to stick my finger up his ass. All whilst his male 'friends' tried to film the incident on their iPhones and laughed. I repeatedly said no and eventually got out of the room.

I called my agent immediately and my lawyer made a complaint with the studio – basically to protect myself that in the event something similar ever occurred I'd be able to walk out of the job and not obliged to return.

Later I was threatened by one of the star's representatives to be nice and support the male star. I refused. The whole thing was disgusting.
I've told hundreds of people in the industry the story in more graphic detail basically to warn them off this individual.

Earlier in my career, I also had a 'hotel room' encounter with a top director. I thought we were there to talk comedy. Nothing physical happened because the guy's wife called and started abusing him over the phone for sleeping with actresses and luckily she was yelling so loud…

I feel lucky that I grew up in a pro-female environment, going to an all-girls high school, and that I have such a strong sense of self and have taken self-defense classes. I had the ability to escape both incidents. I realize not everyone is as lucky.

To hear how prevalent sexual harassment and assault is, is just so saddening. I know my stories aren't as horrific as other women and men have described – but if you've ever experienced anything like this I feel for you and can relate on some level.
