Já já chegamos ao fim, oficialmente, da primeira metade do ano e a Billboard bem ligeira tratou de divulgar sua tradicional lista das melhores músicas do semestre. No topo do ranking de 50 posições, a publicação destacou a ótima “Slide”, parceria de Calvin Harris com o Frank Ocean e o trio de hip hop Migos. Logo na sequência, vieram “Passionfruit”, do Drake; “Despacito”, do Luis Fonsi com o Daddy Yankee e o Bieber; “Green Light” da Lorde e “Sign of the Times”, do Harry Styles. Um TOP 5 de respeito, né?!

Curiosamente, Lorde foi ao lado de Selena Gomez, as únicas mulheres a aparecerem nas 10 primeiras posições. A norte-americana conseguiu o décimo lugar com seu single de retorno, “Bad Liar”. Selena ainda apareceu outra vez na lista, por conta de sua parceria com o Kygo, “It Ain’t Me”, que ficou na 25ª colocação. Também foram lembradas pela Billboard, Miley Cyrus (por “Malibu”); Lady Gaga (por “The Cure”), Katy Perry (por “Chained to the Rhythm”) e Lana Del Rey (por “Love”).
